83 Adobe copyrights violations were detected during March-May 2011

 

 

During March-May 2011 law enforcement bodies of Ukraine detected 83 Adobe copyrights violations. 34 criminal cases were opened by article 176 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
In Simferopol a police raid was done against “Misto Technologiy” LLC. In the framework of the raid a fact of unlicensed Adobe software use was identified. Damage caused to the copyright holder is 18600 UAH. An issue of opening a criminal case has been solving.
In Sevastopol a criminal case was opened for unlicensed Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat Pro use by advertisement agency «SevSity». Damage = 45600 UAH.
Another Sevastopol company “Konversia-Pivden” was raided by local police. Pirated Adobe and Graphisoft R&D software was found. Damage, caused to both copyright holders is 32400 UAH.
Odessa police initiated a raid against advertisement agency “BaBah” and detected pirated Adobe software. Hardware was seized. Damage = 21000UAH.
A fact of unlicensed Adobe software use by a private company “Eko-technoservice” was identified in Lvov. The company’s hardware was seized. Damage  = 11800 UAH. An issue of opening a criminal case is been solving.
Dnepropetrovsk based private entity “Perspectiva-Lucks” was raided by local police. Adobe Systems Inc. and Graphisoft R&D copyrights violations were detected. Computers were seized. Damage to both = 55400 UAH.
Kherson police did a raid against private entity “Regional Center of Professional Technologies”. Pirated Adobe software was detected at the company’s office. Damage = 19500 UAH.
In Kharkov a police raid was organized against “Selekta” LLC. Adobe intellectual property rights violations were identified as well as company’s hardware was seized. At the time police has been evaluating evidences for opening a criminal case.
And finally in the capital of Ukraine (Kyiv) a criminal case was opened and investigated by fact of Adobe copyrights violations in “Alpaka” LLC. Damage, caused to Adobe is 107900 UAH. The criminal case has been already sent to a court.
